Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops

Fixed issues

The following issues have been fixed since Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2402 LTSR (initial release):

Citrix Director

  • On the Filters - All Machines page, when you select all the listed machines on the screen and attempt to scroll down the list, object selection doesn’t work properly after a refresh. [CVADHELP-25259]

  • The table layout appears limited to a small portion of the screen. [CVADHELP-25473]

  • In the Director Filter Machine page, after you choose the “Multi-session” tab and navigate to another page, it selects to default Single-session Desktop Machines tab when you go back to the Machine page. [CVADHELP-25439]

  • You might encounter an issue when clicking on UserProfile details and attempting to select text causes the UserProfileBox to disappear, preventing data copying [CVADHELP-25211]

  • You might notice that the UI.TaskManager.EnableApplications option is ignored in the UI, causing the application list to still appear in the Director. [CVADHELP-25178]

  • You might experience occasional SSON failures in a load-balanced Director after upgrading from 2203 CU4 to 2402. [CVADHELP-25646]

  • You might notice that the Director no longer displays if HDX connection was established using Secure ICA. [CVADHELP-25253]

Citrix Policy

  • You can port GpoScanner to 2404 without altering GpfxSettings.dll [CVADHELP-25384]

  • You might experience high memory utilization from the CseEngine.exe process, which can cause machine registration issues. [CVADHELP-25488]

  • You might be unable to edit or create a policy after upgrading to 2402 from a previous version. The issue does not happen in a fresh install site. [CVADHELP-25696]

  • You might encounter issues where bidirectional content redirection fails after upgrading to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 LTSR [CVADHELP-25455]

Citrix Studio

  • The Studio console might freeze when using the Studio as a published application or use it in a published VDA under the ICA session. [CVADHELP-24990]

Delivery Controller

  • The ‘Citrix.Analytics’ service fails when you uninstall Desktop Delivery Controller (DDC) version LTSR 2203 CU5 or stop the ‘Citrix.Analytics’ services. [CVADHELP-25344]

Machine Creation Service

  • While upgrading a Multi-Delivery Controller site from some pre-2402 LTSR versions (including versions 2302, 2305, 2308, 2311) to the 2402 LTSR, power actions on a VM might fail if the site is only partially upgraded. For more information see, CTX666299. [CVADHELP-25301]

Graphics

  • You might encounter intermittent screen blackouts lasting approximately 10 seconds while working, during which the Citrix software graphics process (Ctxgfx.exe) resets. The twencode thread experiences an access violation exception, which causes the ctxExceptionHandler to record minidumps and cause this problem. ctxExceptionHandler is set up to generate complete dumps for examination. [CVADHELP-24877]

  • When launching the Desktop, you may encounter a black screen due to the ctxgfx failing. [CVADHELP-25145]

Metainstaller

  • When you install Citrix Rendezvous V2 using VDAWorkstationSetup_2402.exe, VDAServerSetup_2402.exe, or VDAWorkstationCoreSetup_2402.exe the installation might fail as the Citrix.Diagnostics.Tracing.dll file is missing in these packages. [CVADHELP-25368]

  • When you attempt to install Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 through the command-line, the Exclude "Local Host Cache Storage (LocalDB)" command is not working as expected. [CVADHELP-25270]

  • From Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 onwards, when you use the /exclude "Local Host Cache Storage (LocalDB)" command in the delivery controller, the SQL Server Express LocalDB database software installation stops instead of continuing the installation without the LocalDB. [CVADHELP-25349]

Universal Print Server

Printing

  • You may experience Windows Print spooler services crashing on VDAs with cpmon.dll, resulting in lost printers and inability to print after submitting print jobs. [CVADHELP-25484]
