In addition to the Microsoft Windows license for the operating system the client requires a Scout Management license for device management by Scout.

To simplify license distribution, if your devices are not delivered with integral licenses, you can use so-called loose licenses. These unallocated licenses can be distributed by the Scout Server to unlicensed devices.

Note:

Without a management license, a client cannot be run in Managed Mode.
